North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson is demanding answers from PowerSchool regarding the 2024 data breach.
It compromised the personal information of nearly 4 million teachers, students, and parents in the state.

On Tuesday, Jackson’s office issued a civil investigative demand to PowerSchool.
It legally requires the company to provide information regarding the exact number of people impacted.
This includes providing information on cybersecurity measures that were in place before the breach, as well as any security flaws that may have contributed to the breach.
