CelcomDigi has introduced a suite of AI-powered cyber security solutions aimed at helping large Malaysian enterprises improve their resilience against the latest digital threats.
The new offerings are designed to provide real-time threat prediction, detection, response, and recovery. They are structured across three main areas: Managed Security Services, Strategy and Assessment, and Infrastructure Security. All services are certified by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and are aligned with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cyber security framework. CelcomDigi’s team includes more than 150 security experts, supported by international partners.
Ts. Afizulazha Abdullah, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at CelcomDigi, highlighted the current cyber threat landscape in Malaysia. Data breaches in the country have seen a 29% increase in the first quarter of 2025, which he said underscores the importance of more advanced and adaptive security measures.
“Robust end-to-end cyber security architecture is critical in today’s age. With data breaches in Malaysia rising 29% in Q1 2025, predictive and adaptive security strategies are at the forefront of safeguarding operations, protecting customer trust, and ensuring business continuity. Our mission is to ensure businesses are equipped with effective, reliable solutions to counter evolving digital threats.”
The solutions were presented to C-suite executives from major Malaysian industries during a simulated cyber threat exercise. According to CelcomDigi, the session provided business leaders with practical exposure to how sophisticated cyberattacks could impact organisational operations and reputation, reinforcing the necessity for continual preparedness.
The Managed Security Services arm provides businesses with access to a 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC). Capabilities include Security Awareness and Preparedness, Managed Detection and Response, Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, Threat Intelligence, and Offensive Security. This allows for proactive detection, response, and defence against complex cyber threats whilst supporting continuity of business operations.
In addition, the Strategy and Assessment service gives enterprises specialised consultation and advisory support. Participants begin with a comprehensive assessment of existing security architecture and readiness before receiving tailored recommendations and end-to-end support for implementing improved security strategies. CelcomDigi stated this approach lets businesses make more informed decisions regarding their own digital defences.
To further enhance protection, the Infrastructure Security solution delivers tools and technologies to tackle vulnerabilities throughout the digital infrastructure. It follows a layered approach by combining proactive and reactive measures, and covers data centre and cloud security, firewalls, threat management, identity and access control, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection, internet and web security, as well as endpoint, mobile, and email security.
The unveiling was organised in partnership with the Axiata Cyber Fusion Centre and Bridgenet Solutions. Business leaders observed live demonstrations of threat monitoring and response during the simulation, designed to reflect the threat environment Malaysian enterprises are currently facing.
A roundtable session also took place featuring industry experts discussing sector-specific vulnerabilities, gaps in readiness, and the need for coordinated response strategies. Attendees shared best practices and approaches for improving resilience to cyber threats within enterprise settings.
The introduction of these services is part of CelcomDigi’s broader strategy to enhance its offerings for businesses of varying sizes, amid continued efforts to encourage enterprise digitalisation in Malaysia.
