Dragos Inc., a vendor of cybersecurity offerings for operational technology (OT) environments, announced on Tuesday that Casey Herman, former Senior Audit Partner for energy and utilities at PwC, and Deborah C. Hopkins, former finance, cybersecurity, and innovation leader at Citi, Boeing, and Lucent Technologies, have joined the Dragos Board of Directors.

Herman and Hopkins bring deep expertise that will be instrumental as Dragos drives operational excellence and expands its global footprint.

“Casey and Debby are exceptional leaders who bring financial rigor and deep domain expertise as we continue to scale,” said Robert M. Lee, CEO and co-founder of Dragos. “Casey’s experience auditing Fortune 500 energy companies provides invaluable insights as we bring best-in-class OT cybersecurity to more organizations globally. Debby’s track record growing technology companies into leading global enterprises aligns perfectly with our focus on execution and long-term value creation for our customers and for our business. Together, they strengthen our board’s ability to position Dragos for long-term growth, including a potential IPO down the road.”

Herman, who will join the board upon his upcoming retirement from PwC, brings nearly 40 years of experience leading audits of Fortune 500 energy companies and building one of the premier professional services practices in the sector. As Senior Audit Partner at PwC, Herman led the audits of some of the largest and most complex energy and utility companies in the world.

Under his leadership, PwC’s Energy & Utilities practice grew by more than 300 percent to over $1 billion in annual revenues. Herman also served as PwC’s first firm-wide Environmental Social and Governance (ESG)/Sustainability Leader. He currently chairs the Electric Power Research Institute’s Advisory Council and is a member of the Edison Electric Institute’s Wall Street Advisory Group.

“The intersection of operational technology and cybersecurity represents one of the most critical challenges facing our energy infrastructure today,” said Herman. “Throughout my career auditing major energy companies, I’ve witnessed firsthand the evolving threat landscape and the increasing regulatory scrutiny these organizations face. Dragos has established itself as the trusted partner for protecting our most essential services. I look forward to using my energy sector and audit experience to help the company apply the financial controls and governance practices that will prepare the company for its next chapter.”

Deborah C. Hopkins is an accomplished C-suite executive and board member with extensive experience in finance, technology, cybersecurity, and innovation across multiple industries. She currently serves on the boards of Union Pacific, Marsh McLennan, and Bridge Investment Group.

Hopkins was previously the founder and CEO of Citi Ventures and Citi’s first Chief Innovation Officer, where she drove the bank’s innovation strategy from 2008-2016. Earlier in her career, she served as CFO at both The Boeing Company and Lucent Technologies, bringing deep experience in scaling technology businesses and preparing companies for the public markets. Fortune twice recognized Hopkins of the top 10 most powerful women in business.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about supporting companies that are solving the world’s most critical challenges, and there is no mission more vital than safeguarding the infrastructure that civilization depends on,” said Hopkins. “Dragos stands at the forefront of protecting our industrial infrastructure from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Having scaled technology companies through transformative growth phases, I’m excited to help Dragos navigate this pivotal moment. The company has built an exceptional technology platform, and I look forward to contributing my experience in operational excellence, financial rigor, and strategic scaling to support Dragos’ ambitious growth plans.”

The board appointments follow a series of recent company milestones and successes that include establishing its subsidiary, Dragos Public Sector; the acquisition of Network Perception, a network visualization platform for OT networks; and a global partnership with Yokogawa Electric Corporation.
