Hackers in recent weeks have exploited flaws in SharePoint, a document management system developed by Microsoft Corp., to try to steal sensitive data from hundreds of victims.
On July 22, Microsoft accused hackers associated with the Chinese government of breaking into computer systems belonging to businesses and government agencies in the US and around the world. The list of known victims includes the Department of Education and the National Nuclear Security Administration, the US agency charged with safeguarding the country’s nuclear weapons, Bloomberg reported.
