The University of Oxford has introduced its first cyber resilience elective. This elective will be a part of the MBA program at Saïd Business School and will address the increasing threat of cyberattacks as well as the importance of business leaders to be involved in bolstering organizational cyber resilience.
This course is based on research from Professor Michael Smets and Dr. Manuel Hepfer at Oxford Saïd. The research found that business leaders are lacking in cyber knowledge, making them uncomfortable when it comes to making cybersecurity decisions (particularly when their organizations are facing a cyberattack).
The goal of this course is to prepare business leaders with the skills needed to make confident cyber-related decisions. This course will be offered in collaboration with Sygnia, a cyber response and preparedness team assisting Fortune 100 companies in defending against malicious actors. The organization will be providing a live cyberattack simulation, the first to occur at Saïd Business School.
