Patient information may have been compromised in a cybersecurity incident that impacted a New Hampshire hospital.

The parent company of St. Joseph Hospital, Covenant Health, issued a warning that a cybersecurity incident in May might have compromised patients’ names and diagnoses.

Other information that could have been impacted was medical record numbers, Social Security numbers and health insurance information.

Covenant Health said on May 26 it was alerted to unusual activity in their information technology environment. Through an investigation, they learned that an unauthorized party gained access on May 18 and was able to access some patient information.

On Friday, Covenant Health said it began mailing notification letters to individuals whose information may have been involved in the incident. They are not aware of any fraudulent misuse of personal information related to the incident, the company said.
