As cyber threats grow more sophisticated and costly, enterprises are turning to trusted MSPs and channel partners for resilient, data-centric defense strategies. In this Q&A, experts from Dynamix and Infinidat discuss how cyber storage resilience is influencing enterprise security priorities—and why it presents a significant opportunity for the channel.
Rob Brittain is a solutions architect at Dynamix Group. Eric Herzog is the chief marketing officer at Infinidat.
This Q&A has been lightly edited for clarity.
Why is cyber resilience important to enterprises and to the channel?
BRITTAIN: Cyber resilience is important because it is a solution to the rampant problem of cyberattacks against enterprises. End-users are seeking trusted partners to enable their enterprises to minimize the damage and recover rapidly from a cyberattack. Implementing cyber resilience capabilities within an IT infrastructure allows us to take care of our enterprise end-user customers. We prioritize cyber storage resilience because it can make the difference between our customers making a full recovery of their critical data with minimal impact vs. enterprises being devastated by a cyberattack when there is a lack of cyber resilience.
HERZOG: The cost of a cyberattack can be up to billions of US dollars globally for large enterprises that did not invest in cyber storage resilience in their infrastructure. Whether it’s ransomware or malware, the cost includes the cost to recover, the cost of reputational damage, lost business, the cost of trying to prevent it and then fixing it, and often the cost of a ransom. This is why C-suite surveys have shown that CIOs have identified cyber as the number one area to increase spending in 2025, and CEOs consider cyber as one of their top two concerns, alongside the economy.
What new opportunities does cyber resilience create for channel partners?
BRITTAIN: Cyber storage resilience creates significant opportunities for channel partners to increase revenue. It’s an opportunity to continue to ramp up margin expansion and profit streams by having a robust cybersecurity practice at Dynamix. As a Solution Architect, it creates the opportunity to design truly cyber-secure enterprise storage that is part of a corporate comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
HERZOG: Channel partners should be riding the wave of cyber, not fighting it. The partners who fight against the need for cyber storage resilience will eventually lose major business. As a partner, you should be taking advantage of the global megatrend in cyber resilience by going to all of your end-user customers to talk about what you can do to help them combat cyber threats. The availability of the award-winning InfiniSafe software makes it easier for partners to offer enterprise customers our state-of-the-art cyber storage resilience capabilities and recovery technologies built into Infinidat’s enterprise storage solutions.
What more should the channel be doing to ride the wave of increasing cyber resilience in the enterprise market and among service providers?
BRITTAIN: What we have found to be successful is to formalize our offerings into our security practice, bringing together complementary pieces, such as consulting, infrastructure and software. Enterprise customers are more eager to talk to us at Dynamix than to another IT solution partner company that treats cyber as an afterthought. We also look at cyber resilience across the whole data center infrastructure, including storage, servers, and networking. When our customers see the significant impact, the positive ROI on the cybersecurity solutions speaks for itself.
HERZOG: Channel partners have the opportunity to work very closely with Infinidat to leverage our cyber storage resilience capabilities available in our next-generation data protection solutions, namely InfiniSafe.
What are the key accelerators to increase the adoption of cyber storage resilience in the enterprise market?
HERZOG: For the channel, it’s about finding the right vendor that has the right enterprise cyber storage solutions. They must have all seven of the critical parameters that enterprise customers are seeking – and we have all seven at Infinidat. These include immutable snapshots, logical air gapping, fenced forensic environment, rapid recovery, integration with data center-wide cybersecurity strategies and cybersecurity applications, and the ability to scan the storage, whether as an early warning system or to identify a known clean copy of data. The seventh parameter is guaranteed SLAs, which guarantee true immutability with no backdoors, as well as guarantee rapid recovery time on both primary storage and on backup / secondary storage.
If the channel doesn’t fully embrace cyber storage resilience, what will happen?
BRITTAIN: Enterprises will continue to lose billions of dollars to cyber threats if the channel does not more widely drive the adoption of cyber storage resilience. Enterprise will continue to suffer, whether it’s downtime or compromised data, or ransoms. It’s very clear that the channel can make an enormously positive difference, and we have made a strategic decision at Dynamix to step up and take on this challenge for the sake of our customers. It’s paying off.
HERZOG: Partners are leaving money on the table if they do not embrace cyber storage resilience. The ball is now in the court of every channel partner. It will only become bigger in the years ahead. It’s game on!
